The future is NOW with the DDR3-1600mhz recent debut! Used in the NEW Sandy Bridges Intel chipset, it's the "must have" for the world's zippiest systems, such as the Apple all-in-one 21.5" iMac. It's not heat shielded nor overclocked, just THE FASTEST DIMM ever manufactured.
DDR2 and far older DDR1 builds are slowing down, due to the market “crossover” to DDR3. Therefore, these segments are experiencing shortages and shipping delays with subtle price increases. DDR3 prices are very stable and relatively flat at present, since fabricators are cranking them out in droves off the assembly lines.
The late 2011 Thailand floods are still disrupting transportation and availability channels for hard drive commitments, but now in a far more minor way. It’s an excellent time to examine SSD’s (see below), the newly affordable alternative.
Two outcomes of the Thailand flooding are:
1) More serious consideration to permanently substitute unaffected SSD
technology or Flash-based units with no moving parts. (see below)
2) Manufacturer reassessment over having such a heavy reliance on
fundamental parts overseas, now subject to two natural disasters last year,
including the earthquake in Japan. Some firms in our industry, and many others,
have quietly moved a percentage of their manufacturing capabilities within
easier reach domestically.
Solid State Disk (SSD) Drives
benefit any system using technology with faster read speeds, vibration &
shock resistance, lower power usage and diminished heat. These flash-based
hard drives have no moving parts and are a drop-in replacement for systems that
use a 2.5" IDE or SATA. This alternative to the more fragile
mechanical hard drives will load an operating system up to 80% faster
and significantly extend laptop battery run-times. Within two years, SSD's will
be a "must have" item for anyone with sensitive data that wants peace
of mind and guaranteed security. Capacities range from 16GB to a walloping
480GB --- ask about them today!
For those of you still trying to get extended life out of an older system, we continue to be your most reliable source for SDRAM and Rambus. We maintain excellent stock of "older" modules with a fully guaranteed Lifetime Warranty. Depend on us to support your ongoing need for Micro DIMMs, ECC/Registered memory or any rear-view mirror technology.
NAND technology OEM's have recently set their focus on 16GB chips with faster speeds and higher performance benchmarks. You'll see SLC chipset specs playing a stronger role in the flash industry as 2012 unfolds.
To guard your data from everyday abuse, consider our StoreJet Mobile M3 portable hard drive, which can give you up to 1TB of confidence. It surpasses rigorous US military drop test standards, so you can be certain your data is 100% safe from harm's way.

| Our firm does not support or resell "generic" or "limited warranty" brands, which are grossly inferior to the quality products that we carry. Generic memory exhibits around a 2% failure rate and 8-15% incompatibility rate. Therefore, all of our products are from top-quality major manufacturers, with far lower failure rates (only 1/4 of 1%, or 1 in 400 units), the lowest percentages in the industry. |
